The Vietnamese Cultural Day is associated with the Day of National Unity in Dong Wan

Xá Đồng Văn organized a series of Vietnam Culture Day response activities (24/11) to coincide with the National Unity Day (18/11) of 2026, aimed at promoting the role, meaning of culture in social life; awakening the spirit of unity, pride in historical traditions, cultural identity of peoples. At the same time, raise awareness of the responsibility of each individual, family and community in preserving, preserving and promoting traditional cultural values.

Through the chain of activities, the local aimed at strengthening the mass of national unity, strengthening the engagement in the residential community, encouraging people to participate in movements of building a cultural family, cultural village and healthy cultural environment. It is also an opportunity to introduce, promote images of the land, people of Dong Wan, cultural heritage values, architecture, cuisine, traditional crafts and local tourism potential.

The main activities: 

Organising the Day of National Unity in Villages: On 18 November 2026, the villages jointly celebrate the day with traditional content of the Vietnamese National Front, evaluating the results of the competition movements, chanting, praising the typical groups, households and individuals. The cage incorporates cultural, artistic, sports, folk games, inter-ethnic exchange; introduces traditional costumes, cuisine and local characteristic products.

Exchange, practice and teaching of traditional culture: Organization of folk performances, folk dances, folk games, folk sports and mass cultural art exchanges. Encourage artisans, the elderly, who are of reputation to take part in instruction, teaching speech, writing, folk music, folk dance, crafts, folk instruments and customs, good manners. Schools are encouraged to organize extracurricular activities, learn about local history, culture, and experience traditional dress.

Introducing cultural spaces and distinctive products: Selecting Old Town Street and a number of appropriate cultural spaces as a focal point for promoting local imagery. The activities focused on introducing traditional clothing, cuisine, crafts, OCOP products, agricultural products and heritage images, landscape identity, tourist destinations.

Vietnam Culture Day observance 24/11: Organize propaganda, introduce conservation models, promote iconic cultural values; honor artists, collectives, individuals and communities who have contributed to the preservation of national cultural identity. Depending on the actual circumstances, organize cultural exchanges, introduce cultural spaces or activate thematically on heritage conservation.

Promoting propaganda on broadcast systems, electronic information pages, social networks; organizing decoration, hanging flags, landscape pageing, environmental hygiene and digital conversion applications in promoting activities, updating information on the Digital Map Platform of Vietnamese Culture.

- Time: from 18th November to 24th November 2026. Among them, the National Day of National Unity was celebrated on November 18 and activities related to Vietnam Culture Day were concentrated on November 24. Propaganda, decoration, landscape editing work implemented from November 15 to November 24, 2026.

- Location: Agencies, units, schools, residential areas, village culturalists and cultural spaces, tourism on the territory of Dong Wan Township; in which Old Dong Wan Street was chosen as one of the highlights, promoting local cultural identity.
