Offerings to the Temple of the Lion King

The King Hùng Temple in Cần Thơ city is a cultural, spiritual building with special significance for the people of the Cửu Long River Valley, expressing the drinking water doctrine of remembrance of sources and the tradition of preaching to the pioneers of water building, water preservation. In the series of activities celebrating Vietnam's Cultural Day on 24 November, the incense ceremony at King Hùng Temple contributed to the revival of patriotism, national pride and conservation awareness, promoting traditional cultural values.

The architecture of the temple is built with a symbolic language, inspired by the culture of the Qing Dynasty and historical values, folk traditions. The empty statue of Dong Son, the 18th King Hùng and the 54 ethnic brotherhood community were transmitted through architecture, creating a memorial space, while also expressing the message of common roots, spirit of unity and the great power of unity of the entire nation.

The incense ceremony is an occasion to show reverence for the ancestors, while also helping each person to look back on the history of formation, development of the nation and a sense of responsibility for his homeland, country. The activity also continues the cult of Hong Kong, the representative intangible cultural heritage of humanity listed by UNESCO in 2012.

For Cần Thơ, incense also connects the national cultural heritage with local identity, contributes to traditional education for the young generation, strengthens the spirit of community unity and raises awareness of conservation, promotes cultural values. Through it, the ethic of drinking water continues to be preserved, transmitted in life today and tomorrow.
